Front-End Engineering Solutions

The first stage of the project lifecycle, FEED, is where Xytel transforms the conceptual design into a comprehensive FEED package. In addition to our main activities, we conduct pre-engineering studies to convert bench or lab-scale data into pilot or mini plant designs when minimal process information is available. This helps estimate project costs, enabling clients to make informed investment decisions.

Feasibility Study

A feasibility study is an initial assessment that examines whether a project is viable and worth pursuing. It involves analysing various aspects such as technical, economic, and environmental factors. It typically includes:

Purpose and Benefits

This includes confirming the conceptual design, clarifying technical issues, and developing critical engineering documents such as process flow diagrams, process descriptions with design basis, critical equipment datasheets, major equipment lists, and P&ID diagrams. Based on these inputs, Xytel conducts HAZOP if necessary, before proceeding with detailed engineering and procurement activities.

Technical Feasibility

Preliminary engineering assessments to evaluate the technology, raw material availability, production processes, and facility requirements.

Economic Feasibility

Estimating the project's capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenses (OPEX), revenue forecasts, and financial modeling (e.g., net present value, IRR).

Environmental and Regulatory Assessment

Examining the potential environmental impact and ensuring compliance with regulations.
